What You Need to Know About UI and UX Design

How UX and UI Design encompasses all aspects of the end-user’s interaction with the company, it's service and it's products.

Today design related roles exist in a range of areas from industrial design to print, to tech. To understand the different between user experience and user interface design, we split it up, even the boundary between UI and UX is fairly blurred and it is not uncommon for companies to combine the these accessibility roles like we do in Toneyes as an user experience design company.

How important is User Interface Design (UI)?

User Interface

We encounter various interfaces wherever we go – mobile phones, computers, applications, and websites all trying to reach you with the communication design, which we daily need to climb. In some cases, it is a pleasure and other times it can fells like a boxing match with the accessibility user interfaces.

User interface design are all about how the communication design product is laid out. When we work with user interface design we are designing each screen or page with a user interacts and ensuring that the UI visually communicates the path that the user experience design is laid out. For example, the UI designer creates an analytics dashboard might point out the most important content at the top, or decide whether a slider or a control knob makes the most intuitive sense to adjust the communication design for the final user experience. UI designs have to ensure that a consistent design language is applied across the product. Maintaining consistency in visual elements and defining behavior such as how to display error or warning states fall under the purview of a user interface design.

Why focus on User experience design (UX)

UX designer are primarily focusing on how the accessibility product feels. UX designers explore many different approaches to solving a specific user problem. The mainly responsibility of the UX design is to ensure that the communication design of the product logically flows from one step to the next. It is very important to identify verbal and non-verbal stumbling blocks, they refine and iterate the best user experience.

The inconvenience for user experience design is that all of our decisions are made based on memories. User experience design focus on the experience part, but great communicate design will function of the memories it creates. Toneyes trying with our design to imprint positive memories via the user experience design.

There are a few fact of the core value of User Experience design you should know. Peter Morville represents this through his User Experience Honeycomb.

User Interface

He notes that in order for there to be a meaningful and valuable user experience design, information must be:

  • Useful: Your content should be original and fulfill a need
  • Usable: Site must be easy to use
  • Desirable: Image, identity, brand, and other design elements are used to evoke emotion and appreciation
  • Findable: Content needs to be navigable and locatable onsite and offsite
  • Accessible: Content needs to be accessible to people with disabilities
  • Credible: Users must trust and believe what you tell them

The honeycomb hits the sweet spot by serving several purposes at once. It’s a great tool for advancing the conversation beyond accessibility and for helping people understand the need to define priorities. The truth is, user experience design depends on your unique balance of context, content and users, and the required trade offs are better made explicitly than unconsciously.

We can define the terms really simply an User Interface design is an accessibility part of the product that faces the user when he or she looks at the site, and the user experience is how they feel when they look at the site, aka the broad scope.

Each facet of the user experience design and how the communication design can serve as a singular looking glass, transforming how we see what we do, and enabling us to explore beyond conventional boundaries.
