We count the Stockholm of Environment Institute as a valuable returning client. After completing a MOOC series in the year 2020, we continue the year 2021 with a strategy book design and as well other print artworks that are mostly used in digital form this year.
This book design involved a special printing method where we would showcase all major projects in the booklet as a fold out page, showing additional valuable information on the project outcome itself.
The concept of the strategy book design was so showcase SEI's strategy of each project from the upcoming year 2020 to 2024. SEI already had submitted to our creative design agency the brand guidelines, but the freedom was given to us on how to structure the project data and showcase valuable facts and information for readers to understand in a easier way, by using more visualisiations and supporting the reader usability with a better and more improved layout.
a book design or a publication design always begins with a wireframing of the content. The wireframing of the content is happening with jsut putting texts on a white page without any design, using placeholder images as a indication where images will be placed.
Trough a layout work we form and design the basic structure of the content strategy. Giving us the agency the idea of the actual work required and giving the client already an good basic visualisiation in how the content will be presented in the artwork.
We can say that this approach is a different approach that other agency persue. We can this approach the wire to design approach, and fromt the experience it always gives the best and quickest outcome/turn around time for realising a book design or a publication design in the most efficient way.
As well in this case, our client had the chance to be part of the design development since the beginning.
